How I Work with Depression
CBT
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on understanding the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In depression counseling, CBT helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives. This practical approach equips you with tools to manage your symptoms, improve mood, and regain a sense of control over your life.
IFS
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy explores the different parts of yourself that may be contributing to depression, such as those carrying feelings of sadness, guilt, or self-criticism. By understanding and healing these parts, IFS helps you foster self-compassion, release burdens, and create a more harmonious inner world, leading to a deeper sense of well-being and emotional balance.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful therapy that helps process and heal the underlying trauma and negative beliefs contributing to depression. By reprocessing painful memories and emotions, EMDR reduces their impact, allowing you to release emotional blocks and move toward greater mental and emotional well-being.
