NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Brain Training
NeurOptimal® is a fully automated neurofeedback brain-training system designed for independent use at home. Navigate Wellness offers NeurOptimal system rentals in the Chilliwack area, giving you the flexibility to use the system on your own schedule and in your own space.
Unlike clinician-led neurofeedback therapy, NeurOptimal does not use diagnoses, assessments or practitioner-selected treatment protocols. Instead, it monitors electrical activity at the scalp and provides real-time feedback while you relax and listen to audio.
What is NeurOptimal® neurofeedback?
NeurOptimal® is a form of Dynamical Neurofeedback® often described as brain training. During a session, sensors placed on the scalp and ears monitor electrical activity while you listen to music or other audio.
When the system detects changes in that activity, the audio briefly pauses. This gives the brain real-time information about what it is doing, without directing it toward a specific outcome.
The system is fully automated and does not require you to complete exercises, concentrate on a task or consciously try to change anything during a session.
A session is simple and non-invasive. Sensors are placed on the scalp and ears, and you sit comfortably while listening to audio through headphones. As the system monitors brain activity, you may hear very brief interruptions in the audio. You do not need to respond to them or perform any particular task. You can simply relax while the system runs.
Because NeurOptimal is designed for independent use, it can be used at home without ongoing practitioner-led sessions.
